eDelivery Accessibility Audit for Poczta Polska
eDelivery Accessibility Audit for Poczta Polska
Poczta Polska needs no introduction. As the national postal operator, it provides postal and courier services across Poland and delivers solutions of key public importance. As part of the eDelivery service accessibility audit, we supported the organization in ensuring compliance with digital accessibility requirements and applicable technical standards, including WCAG and EN 301 549.
As the designated operator for the eDelivery service, Poczta Polska is required to ensure that the solution is accessible to all users — including people using assistive technologies, keyboard-only users, and users with cognitive or situational limitations.
Description of work
The goal of the audit was to verify whether the functionalities available within the eDelivery service — both before and after user authentication — comply with digital accessibility requirements resulting from applicable regulations and technical standards.
The expert review covered a selected set of pages, which were thoroughly analyzed for compliance with WCAG 2.1 success criteria, as well as the EN 301 549 standard. The audit took into account real user scenarios, including keyboard navigation, screen reader compatibility, and clarity and predictability of the interface.
What is eDelivery?
eDelivery is a service addressed to public bodies as well as companies and institutions. It is legally equivalent to a registered letter delivered by a postal worker with proof of receipt. The service is designed to ensure secure, transparent, and effective delivery of legally binding correspondence while supporting digital transformation of public communication.
Due to its role in official communication between institutions and citizens, accessibility of the eDelivery service is essential to ensure equal access to public services.

Outcome
The result of the audit was a detailed accessibility compliance report, complemented by a risk matrix that supports planning and prioritizing remediation activities.
Identified issues were grouped according to severity level, ownership (responsible teams or areas), and impact on end users. For each issue, we provided clear technical and design recommendations aimed at removing accessibility barriers and improving the overall quality and usability of the service
