Meeting this criterion is intended to assist individuals who have insufficient sight and hearing to perceive what is being conveyed in the provided content. What does it involve? Providing an alternative in textual form – a transcription. It includes dialogues, non-speech sounds, and situations depicted on the screen.
Criterion 1.2.8 partially overlaps with criteria 1.2.3 and 1.2.5
Meeting the requirements of criterion 1.2.3 in terms of providing textual description and 1.2.5 regarding audio description is sufficient to meet 1.2.8.
